Pit foundations are designed to be installed below ground level, with the weighbridge platform placed on top of the foundation at ground level. This type of foundation is typically used when there is limited space available or when the weighbridge needs to be integrated with existing infrastructure. All of our Double Life and Highweigh weighbridge models can be pit-mounted
Surface mounted weighbridges on the other hand, are designed to be installed at ground level, with the weighbridge platform placed on top. This type of foundation is often used when there is no existing infrastructure or when the site conditions do not allow for pit-mounted installation. We work closely with you to ensure that the surface-mounted foundation is designed to withstand the required load capacity and environmental conditions.
We can provide portable weighbridge foundations if necessary. The steel frames can be temporarily installed on to any surface and act as a brace to support the installed weighbridge by maintaining its structural integrity and ensuring the weighbridge can be properly calibrated and delivers accurate weighing data.
